The Rider-Waite Tarot  was created Pamela Colman Smith in 1909 under the direction of Arthur Edward Waite. This edition includes Smith’s original hand drawn titles.

Arthur and Pamela met in England in the early 20th century in the Order of the Golden Dawn. This secret society, heavily influenced by Kabbalah, was intent on studying magic, mysticism, and the mysteries of the world. Mr. Waite, a respected occult author and Ms. Coleman, a renown artist, paired up to create seventy-eight allegorical paintings. Published by William Rider in 1909, this iconic deck has inspired healers and mystics from around the world.

Today, the Rider Waite Smith tarot deck is the most widely used tarot deck in the world.

Why we love this product!

There are so many tiny details in this deck it’s easy to miss them. We have a huge fondness for the white wolf who joins the traveler under The Moon. We also have deep appreciation for the black cat who sits by the feet of the Queen of Wands. What is your favorite symbol in this deck?
