What do planets and herbs have to do with tarot? In this case…everything!

The Herbcrafter’s Tarot is a 78 card traditional tarot deck with a twist. Instead of various figures in our lives who offer insight, we’ll be receiving all of our guidance from Mother Nature. The four suits remain the same (air - swords, fire - wands, water - cups, earth - pentacles), however the court cards have shifted.

The Pages are now known as The Hijas, Daughters, full of play, wonder and innocence. The Knights become the Adelitas or Warriors who power on with activism, drive and autonomy. The Queens are now our Madres, Mothers, who provide love, nourishment and guidance. And last, but not least, the Kings have transformed into the Curanderas or Healers, full of wisdom, legacy and council.

This is a beautifully crafted deck with vivid imagery and descriptions. It’s a great deck for the novice and the experienced reader alike. If you have a love of tarot and enjoy the great outdoors, this deck is a must have.

Accompanied by a 124 page guidebook containing card meanings, information on how to read tarot and tarot spreads.

Why we love this product!

The pairing of plants with the card meaning is so thoughtfully done. The Three of Air (Swords) is almost universally recognized as the card of heartbreak and is associated with Enchinaeca. We normally wouldn’t put the two things together as Echinacea is such a healing plant, but the deck creator is helping us acknowledge that this plant is slowly becoming extinct. Not only can we experience heartbreak for people but for our Mother Nature.
