Have you ever seen the movie Office Space? One of the employee’s million dollar idea is a jump to conclusions mat. A novelty that my boyfriend thinks I could benefit from significantly and I can’t say I disagree. I had MANY preconceived notions about Pamela. More so I think I had a story in my head about how the deck came into existence. Here was this powerful man taking advantage of a woman of color and paying her very little for such stunning work. Nothing could be further from the truth. Pamela was an independent woman, eons ahead of her peers in a time where this was not the conventional way of life. Her work on this tarot deck was meant to serve a much larger purpose. If only she was alive today to see the significant impact she’s had on us all. I’m truly an admirer.

Magical Discoveries

Pamela came from quite a legacy. On her maternal side there is long list of relatives who were famed artists and writers. On her paternal side was a lineage of businessmen and government officials. She hails from Brooklyn Heights, the place where I took my first sober breath. I find that divinely inspired somehow. I’m also inspired knowing that Pamela went to the renowned Pratt Institute to study illustration. These a mere few fascinating facts about this extraordinary woman. This book is a page turner for so many reasons!
