This 78-Card Deck and accompanying guide book offer a fresh, new, and exciting take on the traditional tarot. The Hermit becomes Sleeping Beauty, The Lovers are transformed into Beauty and the Beast. I wish I could probably articulate the magic that went into this masterpiece. It's truly spectacular. I won't even try. Instead I'll let Yoshi explain:

"This deck was created as an homage to the stories we have told one another across cultures and throughout history. While each story is unique to a specific time and place, every culture has stories of bright young adventurers, forbidden doors, or promised lands. In this way, the Tarot of the Divine fosters appreciation of our differences and of the truth in our similarities."

Tarot of the Divine is truly a divinely inspired masterpiece. I fell in love the moment I opened the box. I appreciate the vivid colors, the meticulous details, the passion that pours off the pages. Yoshi Yoshitani is an artistic genius. It’s absolutely brilliant how she matches up folklore and fairy tales from around the world to the classic cards of the tarot…and somehow they all fit so well! I’m absolutely blown away by the thought and card that went into this deck. It’s one of my favorites and I often find myself drawn to it like an out of body experience. LIke suddenly I look down and I’m shuffling this deck. They keep calling to me.

Magical Discoveries

If I ever make a tarot deck I’m going to be following Yoshi’s and Madame Clara’s (The Midcenturian Tarot) lead: LINEN. Tarot cards printed on linen cardstock are a luxurious treat for any tarot card reader. They are so much fun to shuffle and for this tactile gal they make the experience that much richer.
