Inner Child Healing & Abundance: Crystals for Financial Transformation

Inner Child Healing & Abundance: Crystals for Financial Transformation

How's your relationship with money these days? For many of us, not great. While there are external factors (i.e. the state of our economy), our perception and relationship with the green stuff is paramount. Thoughts truly do become things.

In order to develop a healthy and balanced relationship with money, we first have to get really honest about our experience with finances thus far. Most of what we know about money has been taught to us: by parents, siblings, mentors, teachers, and society at large. “Money doesn’t grow on trees,” might be an expression you heard once or twice during your developmental years.

Personally, I’ve had to do a tremendous amount of healing in this department. I have an extremely wealthy father who likes to use money to control and manipulate. A grandiose narcissist, he has made money his God and those who don’t have any are weak and stupid. On the other hand, my mother likes to play victim and is constantly living in poverty. She keeps searching for someone to take care of her. While my descriptions may seem rough, they are honest. I love my parents and I recognize their psychoses as reflections of their own trauma. You start to realize that trauma isn’t created in a vacuum and it’s multi-generational. Neither of them had an easy upbringing.

Just like me, you are probably a pattern breaker, a light warrior, charging a new path of healing and recovery. It’s not easy. I’ve had to burn my preconceptions around finances to the ground and begin anew. I’m still healing and I encourage you to join me. Enclosed here are stones I like working with to help my inner child know she’s safe, she’s loved and she hasn’t done anything wrong. While perhaps you’d like to skip this step, I truly think it’s the most important one. Inner child work is the key that can unlock a rich and full relationship with money. You deserve to be wealthy. Let these crystals support you as you find your way.

Chrysocolla

Chrysocolla

Chrysocolla is the stone of the divine feminine, and in our case, the divine mother. She helps us tap into the ultimate loving mother of the Universe. Kind, patient, and nurturing, she embodies the emotional needs that many of us were denied as children. I can tell where a client is on their healing journey if they immediately reject this stone or it makes them uncomfortable. Don’t force it. Work with chrysocolla when you’re ready. Chances are you’ll have a good cry. I like to lay down and put chrysocolla over my heart and repeat the following affirmation: “You are a good person. You haven’t done anything wrong.” While this might not seem like it can help heal your financial wounds, I ask you to think again. Part of a healthy relationship with money is confidence and taking risks. If you’re in a constant state of fear or always people-pleasing you’ll never achieve the financial stability you truly desire.

Malachite

Malachite

Malachite is part of chrysocolla’s family tree, in my humble opinion. However, she’s a lil further along in her healing journey. She’s recognizing her strength. She understands that becoming vulnerable allows for deep connection. She might not feel worthy or enough, but she’s getting there. Malachite is the older sister who will eff someone up if they mess with you. She’s protective, loving, strong, solid. Malachite helps you tap into your sacred knowledge and experiential learning. You might say “I can’t handle this,” and malachite gently whispers “Yes you are! Don’t you remember when you tacked x,y,z? You can do this. You can do anything!” It’s a beautiful, bright green stone that helps you tap into the infinite resources of the Universe. While you might have some doors slam in your face it doesn’t slow you down. You know what’s meant for you will find you. I always have some of this green beauty on my money altar.

Youngite

Youngite

Youngite is a recent discovery for this crystal dealer. It’s sourced in Wyoming and gets its name from the Young family who settled there and started discovering this sparkly magic on their land. While it’s an easy stone to pass up due to its neutral color (most collectors enjoy bright stones), I recommend you take another look. If you take your Youngite outside it sparkles so vividly in the sun that it takes your breath away. One of the many minerals in Youngite is rhodochrosite, a bright pink stone found primarily in Argentina. Rhodochrosite is one of the most positive stones on our planet, however, it’s one of depth. It’s going to bring your wounds to the surface so you can work on them. Youngite for me is the gentler version of that pink baddie, allowing you to work through the shadows at a pace that feels more relaxed and comfortable. I encourage you to add Youngite to your collection if you’re working on past traumas, engaged in somatic work (such as EMDR) or are going deep into talk therapy. This might be one you bring with you on your next appointment.

Kobyashevite

Kobyashevite

Kobyashevite is so bright and sparkly it almost doesn’t feel real! Found deep in the caves of Russia (for whom it was named) or Mexico, this geological marvel occurs when moisture and copper and calcite interact. Yes, I’m simplifying the chemical process, but you get the picture. Everything must be perfectly aligned to bring this crystal masterpiece to life. And that is the message of this bluish-green wonder: YOU are a marvel to behold. The Universe was perfectly aligned to bring your soul into existence. You are worthy because you are. Say it out loud and say it again so it starts to sink in. All the stars in our solar system and magic from the Great Spirit fell perfectly into place to bring you here. You chose to reincarnate at this exact time/space continuum. And they say some of the brightest stars have the darkest start. An investigation into transpersonal psychology could explain it far better than I ever could. All I know is that when I bring Kobyshevite to my heart and close my eyes something phenomenal happens. I feel connected to something much larger than myself. And wow, is it comforting.

Tiger's Eye

Tiger’s Eye

Most of my clients identify as female, so it makes sense that Tiger’s Eye is one that is underappreciated. Connected deeply to the divine masculine, many of us run away from its energy. Our only representation of this energetic force is a wounded one: a capitalist patriarchy. I find Tiger’s Eye extremely healing as it helps me tap into the glory of the divine masculine in its purest form. It’s strong, supportive, kind, and grounded. It’s confident, not cocky. It’s focused and ready for the next challenge. Tiger’s Eye doesn’t need to be the star of the show but can sit quietly on the sidelines. It wants to lift you up so you can soar to even greater heights. I find this is a really helpful stone for anyone who struggles with self-confidence. A perfect one for business professionals or small business owners, I like to keep Tiger’s Eye in my office… sometimes while quietly humming Eye of the Tiger.

Golden Healer Quartz

Golden Healer Quartz

On my top 10 list of greatest crystals of all time, Golden Healer Quartz is a crystal worth considering. Golden Healer Quartz, also known as yellow hematoid quartz, is a clear quartz made yellow as just the right amount of hematite entered the chemical soup as it was forming. Bright, powerful, and supportive, Golden Healer Quartz got its name as it's the perfect stone for anyone on a healing journey. I always have a sphere on my desk on an LED light stand to act as my own personal lighthouse. I like to hold it in my hands as I close my eyes and take a few deep breaths. I can literally feel it enveloping my body in bright, white light. Golden Healer is like a gentle hug of unconditional love from the Universe itself. If you don’t have this golden beauty in your collection yet, it’s time. I promise you won’t be disappointed. Golden Healer’s intention is to help you become the best version of yourself. She is here to love you until you love yourself, making her a wonderful tool for inner child work and removing blocks around unworthiness.

Blue Kyanite

Blue Kyanite

A self-cleansing crystal, just like selenite, kyanite is always moving energy. To me, it’s the equivalent of a crystal broom, sweeping away any negative energy. Blue kyanite is here to help you find your voice. If you’ve experienced any trauma in your life, you’ve been taught either not to speak or that what you’ve said is wrong (gaslighting). Blue kyanite reminds you that not only do you have something to say, but that you can trust it. It helps you get in touch with your intuition and speak your truth, no matter the consequences. This is a wonderful crystal to work with for inner child work, but also for prosperity. It’s helping you unpack the false beliefs that you’ve been working with for way too long and replace them with helpful scripts. Blue kyanite is the ultimate crystal to hold while saying your affirmations out loud. And while many of us want to shy away from this particular piece of inner child work, I encourage you to try it. Saying affirmations out loud may seem silly, but it’s oh so powerful. Just talk to anyone who’s done this consistently for 30 days.

Dinosaur Crystal

Dinosaurs

Ok, ok, dinosaurs are not a crystal. But I’m talking about a dinosaur crystal carving or anything else that will make you smile. Part of deep inner child work is offering yourself the ability to play and create in a safe space. We spend so much time adulting that we often forget to give ourselves the gift of play. Find a crystal dinosaur or any other type of crystal totem that makes you giggle each time you see it. Put it on your desk or a place you can interact with it daily. It helps you not take yourself too seriously. It’s important to show up and do the work, but it’s equally important to give ourselves breaks and have fun. Treat yourself to a fine crystal carving that will allow you to invite in some levity.
