The Morning Flat Doll (Hopi Kachina) is a ceremonial object used by the Hopi people to represent the Hopi Dawa, the Father - the Sun God. It is a unique cultural artifact, traditionally handmade by Hopi artisans and steeped in spiritual significance and meaning.

This particular piece was made by a student of Susan's, a hopi woman I met on the reservation. He is quite young and she said she was very proud of his work and can't wait to see how he develops his craft.

Why we love this product!

This kachina caught our heart. We love that each of these pieces are not just artwork, but a spiritual representation of the artist giving homage to their Guides.
