This Halloween marks five incredible years of Totems and Tarot! In many ways, it feels like both the longest and shortest chapter of my life. Being a business owner is not for the faint of heart—especially navigating a pandemic and the waves of global unrest—but I wouldn’t trade the journey for anything.
As we continue to settle into this new normal, I’ve felt a deep pull back to my roots. In the new year, you’ll see me teaching more often, and I’m thrilled to say that tarotscopes are officially back! I’ve missed pulling cards and channeling wisdom from the cosmos for you.
We’re relaunching this monthly offering with a very special deck—Lieselle’s Eternal Tarot. Lieselle is not only a dear friend (and a guest on my old weekly show, Tarot Talk Tuesday) but also a gifted psychic and phenomenal reader. When she told me she was creating a deck with her son Sean, I knew it would be powerful. Now, holding it in my hands feels surreal—it was the only possible choice for this month’s reading.
A gentle reminder: I pour a lot of love and energy into these offerings. If something resonates, please share it with a friend or comment on social media—it truly helps this small business thrive. And if you’d like to go deeper, one-on-one readings are always available (I’ll drop the link below).
Wishing you a magical October—my favorite month of the year!

LIBRA - Six of Swords
Happy Birthday Sweet Libra! The Six of Swords feels like a metaphysical birthday gift sent to you from above. You crave balance and stability, and this card is here to set the tone of harmony, speaking to expansion, opportunities, and sometimes travel. Perhaps you’ve been moving through a period that has felt arduous and a bit frightening, leaving you hesitant to take the next step, but fear not—the danger has passed and it’s time to return to your mental safe space. This is a wonderful month to set your intentions: write what you want on a bay leaf with a sharpie, add your name, and release it to the wind. As it floats away, acknowledge that you’ve whispered your manifestations to the magical universal ordering service, and trust that they are already on their way. I’m excited to see what flows into your world this month!
LIBRA - October Crystal Prescription
The Six of Swords rules the throat chakra, our energetic center for expression and communication. As you speak your manifestations to the wind this October, consider adding chalcedony to your crystal collection. Soft and soothing, chalcedony is one of our greatest supporters, bringing a calm and clear head and heart that allows for greater freedom in expression.
SCORPIO - Page of Wands
Scorpio it truly is your season! October gives us the Page of Wands - that bright and powerful youthful energy that is full of fire and passion. This is your month to honor your creative side. I see you building an altar from scratch to honor your ansectors. Creating candles or bake goods for the season. While you can be emotional and are never afraid of the shadows, October has a lightness for you. It's your time to truly shine.
SCORPIO - October Crystal Prescription
The stone that immediately comes to mind for the Page of Wands is carnelian. This bright reddish-orange agate is renowned for its fiery energy—so much so that it even trended on TikTok for a while as the go-to crystal to spice up your love life! Personally, I love working with carnelian when I’m ready to ignite my creative spark and build a fire. It’s chaotic, messy, and overflowing with expression. This month, lean into “good enough” instead of chasing perfection—you’ll have so much more fun!
SAGITTARIUS - Queen of Cups
Emotional sobriety looks good on you, Sagittarius—even though it’s not usually your main focus. Your powerful “no-fucks-given” attitude is admirable, but it can sometimes leave those closest to you feeling left behind. You’ve never shied away from honesty, often blunt in your pursuit of truth, and yes, there are a few wounded souls in your wake. What people don’t always realize, though, is just how sensitive you truly are.
For you, truth and honesty aren’t just personality traits—they’re tools that help you make sense of the world. You thrive on research, diving deep into mysteries and meanings, never content to skim the surface. This October, channel that investigative side into exploring your family ancestry. Who knows? The whispers are true—your great-great-great-great aunt just might have been a witch (and I mean that in the very best way).
SAGITTARIUS - October Crystal Prescription
Sagittarius, the natural choice for you this month is Gold Sheen Obsidian. This shimmery black stone—formed from ancient volcanic lava and mined primarily in Mexico—offers powerful protection as you delve into the shadows. It’s the perfect amulet to accompany you on this month’s journey of familiar self-discovery, safeguarding you while you explore the hidden threads of your ancestry and personal history.
CAPRICORN - Five of Swords
Capricorn, despite what people may assume about your sign, you’re not here to pick fights—you’re here to keep your head down and get shit done. That said, you’re also bluntly honest, and if something’s off, you won’t hesitate to call it out. This October, the Five of Swords points to conflict as a path toward growth. Not exactly what you wanted to hear, but it’s necessary. You’re usually skilled at choosing your battles, and unfortunately this month, the battles in front of you are worth fighting. Use your words carefully, do your best not to get triggered, and remember: other people’s reactions to my healthy boundaries are none of my business. The underdog needs your support this month—and don’t forget, that underdog could very well be you. Stand tall and stand for what’s right.
CAPRICORN - October Crystal Prescription
Capricorn, the crystal that immediately came forward for you this month is rhodonite. Pink may not feel like your signature color, but maybe it should be—at least for October. Rhodonite invites compassion: for others, and most importantly, for yourself. You may not see eye-to-eye with many this month, but if you lead with compassion, you’ll find grace. Sometimes the best path is to agree to disagree and part ways with love.
AQUARIUS - Ace of Wands
Aquarius, I adore the energy of the Aces—expansive, free, and untouched by the weight of social constructs. They move from a place of purity, much like you. This October, the Ace of Wands sparks unbridled passion and creativity. New projects are ready to come alive, and it’s your cue to take that first step and honor your inner badass. Maybe it’s a piece of writing stalled by self-doubt, imposter syndrome that kept your voice small, or perfectionism that froze your brush before it touched the canvas. This month, those false notions melt away, making space for your chaotic, brilliant, messy self to take center stage. It’s cathartic. Find a way to release your inner artist—any form, any medium, as long as it feels true to you.
AQUARIUS - October Crystal Prescription
Amethyst is your crystal this month, Aquarius. And while that might make you roll your eyes—you do love to go against the grain—I’m asking you to take a deeper look at this vivid purple beauty. Amethyst activates and expands your crown chakra, opening the channel for divine downloads. This October, she fuels your creative spark and supports you in stepping more fully into your authentic self. Chances are you already have a piece in your collection, but maybe it’s time to treat yourself to something new.
PISCES - Judgment
Pisces, girl, this is such a beautiful pull for you this month. You have a tendency to judge others (don’t we all?), but deep down it’s because you’re so hard on yourself. When are you going to stop beating up my bestie? This October, the Judgment card (yes, spelled Judgement if you’re British) is your reminder to soften up and be kinder to yourself. Retire the harsh critic and get to know your inner loving parent instead. Pay attention to the way you talk to yourself—shift “I can’t believe I did that” into “Oops, I made a mistake, and mistakes are part of the process—that’s the fun of it!” Your inner mean girl is exhausted, Pisces. Let her rest.
PISCES - October Crystal Prescription
Pisces, your October crystal prescription is Pink Amethyst. This gentle stone helps you strengthen the most important relationship you’ll ever have—the one with yourself. Remind yourself daily how easy you are to love. The world can be harsh, and as the sensitive soul you are, you feel it all—both blessing and curse. Pink Amethyst serves as a tender reminder that the Universe loves you infinitely, wrapping you in its peaceful, trusting energy.
ARIES - The Tower
Aries, your card for October is the Tower—the card of divine destruction. Don’t panic, it’s nothing you can’t handle. In fact, if any sign is up to the task, it’s you. You’re a natural-born leader who has never feared change. Still, there’s a red flag you’ve been ignoring—maybe it’s a relationship that’s run its course, a toxic job you know you need to leave, or a move you’ve been dreaming of but haven’t made happen. The Tower steps in to clear the way: the relationship ends, the job falls away, or circumstances force a move. This month may bring both massive highs and lows, but your work is to stay open and balanced as the scaffolding crumbles. It’s time to build something new—let the excitement of that possibility carry you forward.
ARIES - October Crystal Prescription
Aries, the stone that shines for you this October is Ocean Jasper. This beautifully speckled treasure from Madagascar is one of my all-time favorites—it teaches us how to ride the tides of life with grace and ease. The only constant we can count on is change, and the more we learn to embrace it, the lighter and happier we become. Remember, we are often the creators of our own suffering—and we don’t have to be. Work with Ocean Jasper this month to help you accept whatever life brings, trusting that every wave is carrying you exactly where you need to go.
TAURUS - Three of Pentacles
Taurus, this was an interesting pull for you—the Three of Pentacles appeared in reverse. Normally a card of teamwork and collaboration, its reversal suggests you may be feeling a bit isolated right now. Misunderstandings with loved ones can feel especially uncomfortable, and while you prefer harmony (and the finer things in life), your natural stubborn streak can sometimes create unnecessary friction. This October, notice where you can yield. Stand firm in what truly honors your deepest values, but ask yourself—does every little thing need to be a battle? Reconnect with friends and family by focusing on shared goals and common ground. Your mantra this month: “It’s better to understand than to be understood.”
TAURUS - October Crystal Prescription
The October crystal prescription for you, sweet Taurus, is Chrysocolla. Known as the stone of the Divine Mother, it carries a deeply nurturing and comforting energy. This is the perfect ally for navigating difficult conversations this month. When someone disagrees with you, it can feel like betrayal—but Chrysocolla reminds you it’s not personal. What you’re really bumping up against are old wounds, not abandonment. In truth, when someone shares their truest thoughts and feelings, it’s not rejection—it’s a form of honor.
GEMINI - The Devil
Gemini, I love this pull for you—it honestly made me laugh out loud. No other sign can dance with the Devil’s mischievous energy quite like you. The Devil is one of my own tarot birth cards, so I’ve had to make peace with it, and in doing so, I realized how essential this archetype is to our spiritual make-up. Yes, it can point to addiction or obsession, but it also reminds us of the importance of pleasure, play, and a little rebellion. Life without that spark would feel flat and vanilla. This October, let your inner wild child take the stage. Think joyrides with the windows down, music blasting, leather jacket on—the kind of harmless fun that makes you feel alive again.
GEMINI - October Crystal Prescription
Black Tourmaline is your crystal for October, Gemini. While it’s essential to honor your wild side this month, grounding yourself will keep things from tipping too far. Black Tourmaline acts as an anchor, helping you stay right-sized and balanced. If you find yourself leaning into the darker edge of The Devil, this stone offers powerful protection—sometimes even from your own thoughts. Activate it with a simple intention: “Please protect me from my negative thinking. It’s not helpful.”
CANCER - Two of Swords
Cancer, you’re usually decisive—you know what you want and rarely hesitate once your path is clear. But this October, the Two of Swords places you at a crossroads, and that uncertainty can feel frustrating, even unsettling. When the future looks hazy, your instinct may be to retreat into your home or another safe space. Honestly, that might be the wisest choice. Adulting can feel a little too adulty right now, so give yourself permission to pause. Step back, turn off your phone (I know, terrifying), and let yourself sink into nature. With quiet and space for reflection, the answers you’re seeking will begin to reveal themselves.
CANCER - October Crystal Prescription
Your October crystal prescription, Cancer, is Fluorite—the stone of mental clarity. Known for clearing away brain fog, it creates space for fresh insight and divine inspiration to flow. Fluorite also acts as an energetic filter, dissolving negativity and easing anxious thoughts so you can stay centered. Incorporate this beauty into your daily meditations, and you may be surprised at just how much clarity and calm it brings into your world.
LEO - Three of Swords
I have so many magical Leos in my life—many of whom I count as close friends—so I’ll admit I was a little disheartened to pull this card for you. I even thought about reshuffling, but I resisted. The Three of Swords is the tarot’s symbol of pain and heartbreak, and as Lieselle wisely notes on her card: “honor the pain.”
As we move toward Samhain and the veil thins, October can stir up unexpected grief. Instead of resisting it, lean in. Allow yourself that deep, ugly cry if you need it. Then, honor your emotions by engaging in rituals that connect you with those who have passed. I’ve always loved the Mexican traditions of Día de los Muertos, where families set plates at the table and build altars to celebrate their loved ones. It’s one of the few cultures that treats death not as a burden, but as a celebration of life.
LEO - October Crystal Prescription
Lepidolite is your crystal prescription for October, Leo. This gentle stone is my go-to whenever I’m moving through deep waves of sadness or grief. Soft and soothing, I often call it the lavender of the crystal world—it wraps you in calm and comfort when you need it most. As you process the big emotions stirred up by the Three of Swords, let Lepidolite be your ally. Hold it close when your heart feels heavy, and allow its steady presence to help you find peace in the midst of heartbreak.
VIRGO - The Moon
Virgo, I understand your disposition well—as someone with a Virgo stellium, I know how much you thrive on order, thoughtfulness, and details. But October may feel challenging if you don’t loosen your grip and lean into this card: The Moon. This is the realm of deep introspection, the heart of shadow work, where self-discovery becomes the path to growth and flourishing.
You are anything but shallow, yet your love of structure often serves as a shield. What lives beneath that tidy surface? What truths might your careful order be protecting you from? This month invites you into mystery—wild, deep, and a little chaotic. Trust that you’ll find your way through as long as you’re willing to step outside the boxes and allow yourself to wander in the unknown.
VIRGO - October Crystal Prescription
Virgo, your crystal prescription for October is Labradorite. Known as the stone of magic and manifestation, it’s deeply connected to the third eye and the awakening of intuition. As an earth sign, you often lean into facts, figures, and the safety of structure—but this month invites you to wade into the watery depths of emotion and spirituality. Let Labradorite be your guide as you open to mystery. Your intuition is ready to surprise you in ways you never thought possible, and I can’t wait to see what wisdom comes through for you.
